Big Al was invited to the 2024 Fugazi Gallery Cowie International Zine Festival. Fugazi Gallery, based in Cowaramup, Western Australia, is a space that houses local and international disruptors who confront and challenge perceptions.

This Zine Festival features dozens of artists producing collections of zines in a travelling exhibition spanning Cowaramup, Los Angeles, and New York. The zines create a travelling archive for people to experience both locally in South West Australia and internationally across the US.

Al’s zine explores the history of the zine itself through an analog narrated script, engaging a dialogue between the character YOU and your chosen NARRATOR. From witches to science fiction, riot grrrl, and manifestos, The Zine of Zines challenges one’s place within movements through time.

A free portal is provided.

This is Al’s first zine and was made available once the travelling exhibition concluded in September 2024.
